Day 3 - Tokyo touring

More on foot adventures for the Walkers today. Total step count 29,000.
First stop - delicious coffee and breakfast of course! Then on to the Shinjuku Gyoen National Gardens. Incredible that there is such a peaceful place in the middle of the hustle and bustle of Tokyo.  We took time to enjoy a cup of tea in a traditional Japanese Tea House in the gardens. Delicious and so good for you!
After the gardens we found a place to try our first soba noodles -  YUM!
Next stop -- the Imperial Palace. By this stage is was raining reasonably heavily but we pressed on to see the view of the palace. Very grand and very spacious - quite a contrast to the rest of Tokyo which seems have everything possible space taken up.
Cameron led us to a fashion store in Ginza - the Dover Street Market shop. A fashion/art house which gave Lilly and I quite a laugh. Cameron left happy with a new fashionable top.
At the Diamaru shopping centre we found the most amazing food hall where we gathered up some bento boxes for dinner before heading back to base for a quiet night in.
Weary legs but still loving every minute of it.
